The Modlin Center for the Arts, in partnership with Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, will broadcast the seventh season of Pathe Live’s Bolshoi Ballet, featuring ballet productions direct from the grand Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Russia. Audiences will enjoy these outstanding performances with the Bolshoi principals, soloists, and corps de ballet. Each production will feature behind-the-scenes programming, including interviews with the cast and creative teams, either prior to the start of the production, or during intermission.

The Russian National Ballet Theatre, under the artistic direction of founder Elena Radchenko, returns to Richmond with the timeless Tchaikovsky classic Swan Lake. Taken from Russian folklore, Swan Lake follows a heroic young prince as he labors to free the beautiful swan maiden from an evil sorcerer’s spell. Fifty dancers, donning colorful costumes and backed by a sweeping score, tell the tale of true love and forgiveness in one of the greatest classical ballets of all time.
